CoSTAR National Lab's Inclusive User Futures team are inviting creatives to join them to explore the future of multisensory experiences at a series of workshops hosted with Network Labs across the UK this summer.

Multisensory experience describes creative work that intentionally engages multiple senses, such as sight, sound, touch, movement and smell, to shape how audiences encounter stories, spaces and interactions.

The team has developed a virtual HUB bringing together resources, insights and case studies to support creative businesses that wish to develop multisensory experiences.

To activate the hub and explore its real-world potential, the team is collaborating with CoSTAR Network Labs to host a series of hands-on workshops with industry professionals.

Workshops will be held in Production Park with Live Lab, Edinburgh with Realtime Lab, Belfast with Screen Lab, and London with National Lab and Foresight Lab, alongside an online event.

Participants will help shape the future of CoSTAR National Lab’s multisensory directions, including informing subsequent funding calls.

Who is it for? Freelancers and businesses working across live performance, XR, installation, games, themed entertainment, exhibitions and multisensory storytelling.

If you are interested in learning more about CoSTAR’s multisensory research and contributing to future multisensory directions, you are invited to apply to join one of our Multisensory Workshops by completing this Expression of Interest form.
